EUROPE SERVES ITS REGIONS TO ACHIEVE BEST LIVING CONDITIONS FOR ALL THE CITIZENS
The power of Europe starts in the regions. Having met with hundreds of local and regional leaders during my stop in Bucharest as well as listening to their suggestions and concerns, I have some ideas on how to make Europe a better place.
Romanians have fought for their hard-won democracy, their sense of duty in withstanding the government’s attacks on the rule of law have truly inspired me.
I am committed to the EU project and its values and determined to make a change in the lives of the European citizens.
Europe is a center of innovation - in regions, cities, and villages. Having seen new technologies like robots and meeting with local representatives is an excellent chance to exchange views on the implementation of EU funds and how to better address our citizen’s concerns.
Europe's future begins from its roots, and I want the rural and urban regions to stay competitive and grow.
I have also taken the chance to visit the Nuclear Physics Centre in Magurele, this is a world class EU funded project. Recently, the high-power laser in this Centre reached and exceeded 10 Petawatts, reaching a new world record.
By investing in development, research and creating new opportunities at local levels, Europe can prove how to serve its members.
